NEW SERVICE NOW AVAILABLE – SECURE DATA DISPOSAL

Data security is a growing area of concern for businesses in all sectors. The need for caution is re-enforced with recent legislation changes that levies aggressive penalties for those found in breach of the strictly defined procedures relating to the secure disposal of their data.

The core focus of TG services is not on the PC and laptop market, but to utilise our expertise in the Wintel, Midrange and high end server market and extend our service offerings to include CESG data erasure for Wintel to high end server hardware and disk storage.

To date there is no widely recognised standard to which organisations should operate when it comes to secure data disposal; indeed many organisations entrust some of their most sensitive assets (data) to relatively unknown companies with little ability to demonstrate any true credentials or ability in the secure management or disposal of this data.

Obsolete IT hardware is often viewed as a nuisance and the solution is ‘out of sight out of mind’. As such, many ITAD (IT Asset Disposal) companies have appeared on the market often removing hardware for free, if they are able to remarket the items. It is ironic that organisations spend huge amounts of money protecting their IT infrastructure with the latest security techniques and site access restriction, yet at the end of the lifecycle of this hardware are prepared to pass it, with data still installed, to largely un-vetted companies, for free, entrusting them to do what is required with little proof or evidence of how they operate.  

TG Services has chosen to work with ADISA (Asset Disposal & Information Security Alliance), one of a few organisations working and accrediting organisations in the secure disposal, and erasure of data. The intention is to have an international standard that organisations can deliver to in the secure transportation, process, erasure and disposal of end of life IT hardware and data.

TG Services is able to offer secure disk wiping to CESG certified level, providing a report of all disks that have been erased, giving the comfort and ease that data has been properly removed.

We are able to offer three key service alternatives

1 – Engineer to site to disk wipe to CESG level.
Let us do it for you, we can bring an E800 data erasure system to site, with an engineer who understands the hardware, and securely erase data.

2 – Bring product to TG Services to disk wipe to CESG level.
We can collect hardware from site in dedicated vehicles, return it to our secure facility and securely erase data. 

3 – Rent or sell you the equipment to enable you, to manage CESG level disk wipes in house.  
The first solution that we are aware of, the E800, simple to use, enabling you to securely erase disk in house.
Once data has been deleted we are able to offer a disposal solution, predominantly focused on re-use over recycle. Leveraging our team of international traders to maximise resale revenues, or if deemed un-sellable, to dispose of product in accordance with the WEEE directive via our disposal partner.
